The White Pelican Cottage is your nest at this boutique resort on beautiful Manasota Key!! Shorebirds Beach Cottages of Manasota Key is a newly renovated property with a total of 4 cottages located just a 3 minute walk to the beautiful Gulf waters and shell strewn beach. This cottage features two bedrooms/one bath w/ king bed, queen bed, luxurious linens, comfy mattress plus queen sleeper sofa. This unit comfortably sleeps no more than 5 adults, with children it sleeps up to 6. Enjoy one of our on-site bicycles to explore the key or take a kayak/SUP to the Gulf or Bay. A ten minute walk and you enter the gem of the Key, Stump Pass State Park with it's pristine, undeveloped beach and wildlife preserve. Relax in our tropical backyard oasis by one of our wood or gas firepits. BBQ something local on one of our grills and enjoy it at the table under our lighted pergola. There is an on-sight laundry, and outdoor showers. Everything you need to get the most out of a day at the beach is provided from beach towels to beach carts, umbrellas, and chairs. Pack your bags and head to the White Pelican nest.
This cottage is the left side of a very quiet duplex shared by our other unit the Laughing Gull. Our property has a second building for a total of four units. Building two has the Piping Plover and the Oystercatcher.
The property has been beautifully updated in 2020-2021 featuring a newly renovated kitchen, bathroom, new furnishings, and luxury details. Each cottage is two bedroom, one bath. A thoughtfully appointed kitchen, dining table, living room with queen-sized sleeper sofa, one king bedroom, and one queen bedroom are among the comforts offered. Savor your morning beverage or evening cocktail on your private screened-in lanai or enjoy our backyard tropical oasis featuring gas and wood burning fire pits. The unit offers other conveniences such as: contactless, private entry, microwave, range, Keurig coffee maker, refrigerator. Free Wi-Fi. A cable connected 55” Smart TV in the living room and 40” TV’s in each bedroom to view shows using your favorite streaming apps. Other shared amenities include an on-site laundry, bbq grill area, and kayaks for your use.
We provide beach carts, chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, everything you need to get the most out of your day at the beach, just a short 3 minute walk. Grab one of our turquoise bicycles (adult-sized) to explore the pristine, secluded beach of Stump Pass State Park, only 3/10ths of a mile away (a leisurely 10 minute walk), where the sunsets are fantastic. Paddle around Lemon Bay in one of our kayaks, tandem or single, or a Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP) offered with your stay. Spend the day fishing or hiking the park’s trails or just soak in the sun on this undeveloped beach, known for bird and turtle nesting. For a real treat, keep an eye out for dolphins, manatees and other wildlife while you’re there! Conveniently close are our island restaurants, ready to satisfy your culinary cravings. Take our island shuttle so that you can dance the night away to live music at some of our neighborhood establishments. Manasota Key has conveniently located boat and jet ski rentals, and parasailing as well.
This is a non-smoking property. Smoking is not allow inside cottages, nor on porches or in any outdoor space on the property. Smokers must take a stroll off property at or beyond the sidewalk to smoke.

Policies
Cancellation Policy
Travelers who cancel at least 60 days prior to check-in will be refunded 100% of rental amount paid. If reservation is cancelled 30 days prior to arrival, 50% of the rental amount paid will be refunded. Cancellations within 30 days prior to check-in will not be refunded. Early departure does not warrant any type of refund.
Deposit Policy
For reservations of one week or more, if the reservation is 60 days or more before the rental commences, an initial payment of 50% of the total rental fee is due at booking. Sixty days prior, an additional 25% will be due, with a final payment due 30 days prior to check-in.
If a reservation is made less than 45 days prior to check-in or the reservation is less than a full week in duration, the full rental amount must be paid at the time of booking.
Any reservation made 10 or fewer days prior to rental commencement, must do so using a major credit card at time of booking.
No reservation may commence without full payment being cleared.

I stayed here previously with some friends and absolutely loved it. I took my family there this time around and they loved it just as much! Great place to stay and walking distance to the beach!
This was the perfect place to spend the last two days of our Florida vacation. Very clean, had everything we could need, and all of the beach items were great. A quick walk to the beach and very quiet at night. We would love to stay here again in the future! The bottle of wine and cold beers in the fridge were the cherry on top after a day of travel!
Single mom traveling with two teenage girls. Needless to say, I wanted a safe place that was really close to the beach. This place was perfect in every way. Jen and Eddie have thought of Everything! There were even snacks and cold drinks to revive the weary traveling teens. Another family stayed in the adjacent unit, but we did not hear them at all. Nighttime was so peaceful. There were super fancy beach chairs and an umbrella that did not blow away or flip inside out - already packed into a beach cart! The bicycles were adorable and fun. Bring a backpack so you can haul your souvenirs back from the surf shop on the bike. I could go on and on. This place is amazing and we had a wonderful time!

We had a wonderful stay in Englewood. The unit is very clean, bright and cheery. It is stocked with everything you need for a fun vacation. Jen went above and beyond with a few surprises upon check in that were a very nice touch and made us feel welcome. We met our neighbors and had fun kayaking and paddle boarding on Lemon Bay. The beach is also a quick walk. Everyone is town was very friendly and welcoming as well. I highly recommend staying here and would not hesitate to stay again if I’m ever back in Englewood!

Had a fantastic trip and our stay at Jen’s place helped make it a great weekend! Property was clean and great convenient location to local restaurants and beaches. The amenities on the property (especially use of the bikes) made for an easy way to get around. Would love to stay here again! Jen was very easy to communicate with and helpful also!

Everything was absolutely gorgeous! It was so close to the beach and cute restaurants! The water is gorgeous and we got to see dolphins as well! This is the perfect place to vacation with your significant other! Thank you for everything!
If this place is available, look no further! Updated and adorable, clean and so comfortable! We were there in May 2022 and it was quiet, even with another family next door. The air was on, ready for us. The sheets were soft and already on the bed! TVs in both bedrooms and the living space. The photos really do not do this place justice. Walking distance to the beaches and a gear-stroller is ready to go! There are coolers here, so you don’t need to bring even a collapsible one. Beach towels, too. Not one complaint. I don’t think you’ll have one either, but if you do, the owners are super responsive. This place is so stinkin’ cute!
We loved our stay at Shorebirds on Manasota. We discovered a new key, adorable and small peninsula. We loved the bikes, kayaks and paddle boards, the house was so quaint and clean and the grounds even better. Thank you Jen!
Perfect place to spend a vacation. Cozy. Clean. Decorated to give that ocean side feel. Bikes, kayaks, fire pits close to restaurants and beach. It has everything you need!
