Sunsets on Manasota Key are second to none!!
There’s no doubt that sunset is wonderful time to sit, relax with your favorite beverage and enjoy nature’s free show. We recommend that you don’t miss any as each sunset is so different.
Spend your days sunbathing or walking the beach. Be sure to make a visit to Stump Pass State Park a short walk from the cottages. There you can walk the inner trail to the pass with views of both the gulf and the bay along the way. If you are there during Turtle Season May to October, look out for turtle tracks and nests. Manasota Key is the most heavily nested area on the US gulf coast!
Visit our other beaches on Manasota Key by car or by bike such as Englewood Beach, Blind Pass Beach, and Manasota Beach all great places to visit on our Key and find shells and shark’s teeth.
Kayak on Lemon Bay or rent a kayak or SUP from Englewood SUP–They have great guided eco tours of several areas including near Stump Pass and Boca Grande.
Of course a visit to Manasota Key must include a meal from one of our lively island restaurants. Our top recommendations are the Lock-n-Key, Sandbar Tiki, The Waverly and the Beachcomber Trading Post for casual dining with a great view. Enjoy live music at these locations most evenings of the week.
Relax and enjoy this wonderful little slice of paradise!
